What it’s about
Tour Aotearoa is a bikepacking route of around 3,000 km through New Zealand from Cape Reinga to Bluff, on a mix of cycle paths, trails, tracks and quiet country roads. The annual brevet in 2027 starts on 17 and 18 February.
The start is spread over two days (17 and 18 February 2027). The route was designed by New Zealand cycle-touring author Jonathan Kennett. For the 2026 edition there is a tracking map at ta26.maprogress.com (based on the 2026 edition, not specific to 2027).
