What it’s about

Taunus Bikepacking is a self-supported loop of around 1,000 km and 20,000 m of climbing through the whole Taunus, roughly half on tarmac and half on gravel and forest tracks. The organiser explicitly states: not a race and not a commercial event.

Date expected (based on the 2026 edition): the organiser has not yet announced the next edition. Based on the 2026 edition (No. 9): a maximum of 99 participants. The route changes every year and is only sent to registered riders one to two weeks before the start; it is not made public. At least 40 mm tyres and low gears are recommended.
