Supplies along the way
A support vehicle on the course is not allowed at any time; two to three event vehicles patrol with tools, spare parts, bike racks and first aid, but do not hand out food or drink along the way. You set up your own support at the Psycho Basecamp in Bayboro; the access there is gravel with soft grass alongside.

What it’s about
The Psycho 48 is a loop-course ultra time trial in the flat east of North Carolina: on a 35-mile loop you ride as many laps as you like, with classifications from Open through 100 miles, 12 and 24 hours up to the eponymous 48-hour distance. Start and finish are at the Psycho Basecamp in Bayboro; the 24- and 48-hour races officially count as RAAM qualifiers.
Change according to the organiser: the 48-hour classification now starts on Friday, all other classes start on Saturday as usual; number of participants limited to 125. Details on route and format according to the 2026 edition.
