Supplies along the way
Self-supported: only what is publicly available to everyone (shops, hotels) or what you carry yourself is allowed; no help from friends, no support from other riders, no depots. Along the way there are unmanned selfie checkpoints and one manned checkpoint roughly halfway in Wales; accommodation may be booked in advance.

What it’s about
The Perfidious Albion is a self-supported single stage of around 1,600 km with 23,000 metres of climbing through Scotland, Wales and England, from Lockerbie to Brimscombe in the Cotswolds. The route is 98 per cent on road, with unmanned selfie checkpoints along the way and one manned checkpoint in Wales.
From 2026, Mountains of the Merfynion (MOTM) and The Perfidious Albion (TPA) alternate annually; the next TPA edition is in 2027, and the organiser will announce further details at the end of 2026. The field is limited to 40 riders, registration closes around six weeks before the start or when the event is full. The entry fee has not been set yet (“£TBC” on the site). Tandems race in a separate classification, not in the pairs classification.
