## What it’s about

Around 2,000 km off-road from Land's End to John o' Groats; held as a single stage since 2024 (previously four stages with neutralisation), radically self-supported and with no flying to get there.

Organiser: "TBC 1 January 2027". 2026 (8th edition) confirmed as completed: start Saturday 15 August 2026, 8:00 at Land's End; last finisher 30 August 2026. Provisional 2027 calendar according to trials.html: 14–25 August 2027 (status: "to be confirmed 1 Jan 2027"). According to the organiser a "reliability trial, not a race", with no time limit; participation only by application, travel without flying. The rules page still says "no entry fees and no prizes" – contradicting the existing £125 entry fee stated in the manual, unresolved.
